another amy butler pattern...made this for jamie's shower.
these are for a friend's baby shower. they are 6-9 months and i used amy butler's cutie booties pattern. well...i half-heartedly used them. i traced the pattern onto the fabric, anyways. as for actually reading the pattern...nah. i think they turned out alright. i plan on making at least one other thing for them. maybe tonight.
this was a collaborative project with my 4.5 year old son, haye. he wants to make money to buy plants vs. zombies so i told him we could make cards together to sell on etsy. he draws the pictures and i sew over them. if you couldn't tell, there are 2 people on he grass holding hands with some trees in the background and some birds in the sky. oh and a big heart above them.i think it's pretty adorable! .JPG)
well, i'm frustrated. it's day one and i haven't finished my project yet. technically it's day 2 as it's almost 1am. i'm having issues with how the bag is sitting and am beyond fed up with it. a friend of mine custom ordered this bag so i am making it without a pattern or anything...just the ideas in my head. it is about 80% finished and i'll definitely be able to finish it tomorrow, but i am disappointed i never got it done today. er...yesterday. *sigh*
haye needs a foot x-ray in the morning to check for a growth plate fracture so i need to get some sleep. that is more important than staying up all night in order to finish a project that is already late. also, this project is not to impress anybody, it is a lesson in discipline and efficiency. i will learn from my mistakes.

well, i'm mostly finished the bag. i have to put on the strap still but i will finish that soon enough. oh, and i need to put the other flap on the front.
